School of Human Ecology

Champion Environmental Services, Inc. is getting ready to submit notification for work at the University of Wisconsin School of Human Ecology.

The scope of work involves multifaceted tasks including building demolition, asbestos abatement, selective/interior demolition, and historic salvage.

A small two story brick building approximately 4,264 square feet will be demolished. An additional three story brick building measuring 24,000 square feet will also be wrecked; various historic portions of this structure will be dismantled and preserved.

The School of Human Ecology is a five story building encompassing 76,000 square feet. All five floors will be gutted from floor to ceiling. We will also be responsible for removing/recycling the hydraulic oils from the elevators prior to demolition of the elevator.

This project should begin in the week of March 15, 2010.

US Bank Plaza. Madison, Wisconsin

Champion Environmental Services, Inc., is in the midst of a very challenging project at the US Bank Plaza at One South Pickney Street in Madison, Wisconsin. CESI is selectively removing several exterior building atriums. Workers are hand cutting the steel beams for safe removal in a deconstruction project that will last into April of 2009. The work entails a sophisticated understanding a safe deconstruction practices. The US Bank Plaza job demonstrates our ability to address the demanding needs of our clients. Our range of capabilities is extensive; this project reflects that no scope of work is beyond our understanding. Sterling Hall Renovation at the University of Wisconsin, Madison

Champion Environmental Services, Inc., is phasing down asbestos abatement and interior demolition at Sterling Hall, UW Madison. The intensive project, which began in October of 2008, has involved several levels of work.

In an area that totaled 159,124 square feet, asbestos abatement took place in various portions of the building from the basement through the seventh floor. An interior gut demolition throughout the building of suspended acoustical ceiling tile, cabinetry, carpet, fixtures, a hydraulic freight elevator, saw cutting of concrete on slab and other pertinent removals rounded out the scope of work.
